THIS YEAR, DON’T WISH FOR LESS PROBLEMS.

Life is inevitably filled with challenges and ups and downs, yet as every new year rolls around, we always wish for an easier year (and life,) filled with more health, happiness, peace and prosperity, which of course we all want, but what we haven’t seemed to grasp, is that we need to be the change before we see any changes outside of us. We need to become the best version of ourselves before we can see any changes in the world and attract all the good things we desire. You may wonder, “How can I alone make a difference?” All you have to do is look around the world, no matter where you live or where you are from, and you can see how just how crazy things are and how often ONE person can make a difference, whether for good or for bad.

There is no denying that there is a lot of chaos going on, but we cannot get caught up in the negativity of the world. We can be empathetic and compassionate to the plight of others, without falling into the cycle of doom and gloom. Energy flows where attention goes.

What we need is to focus on the good things that are happening in the world, and in our lives, even if they are few and far between right now. We need to see more people out in the world doing good. It already exists but we, as a society have become so consumed with drama and negative news, that we often overlook all the good and beauty in going on in the world around us. We need to practice more mindfulness and gratitude. We need to normalize seeing the happy, good deeds in the world. (Side note: I always saywe” because I include myself in the collective. When I write, it is often self-talk!) We need to be more aware that we do have the power to be happy and to be healthy. There will inevitably being challenges and problems we must all face, but learning to overcome them with faith and grace is key. We need to be aware that as individuals, we affect the world around us.

We need to focus on being and seeking out the helpers, the healers, the people who are out trying to make a positive difference in the world. We need to focus on being kind to each other as often as possible, at the very least, respectful, especially in the midst of tragedy and/or chaos. We need to normalize being happy for no reason and living in peace. It may seem impossible to do so when we are so tuned into the negativity, but that is why it is so important to do the “work” – to focus on self-love, personal development, healing, helping others, volunteering or donating to causes you care about. It is imperative to bring joy into the world by doing what you love. The very act of living in the frequency of love and doing the things you love to do, brings an energy into the world that elevates the frequency of the world. “When we heal the individual, we affect the collective.” – Lissette Rozenblat

We each create a ripple effect in the vast ocean of life and are integral pieces in the jigsaw of life. And while that may sound clichΓ©-ish, it is indeed reality. We all make up the collective consciousness of the world.

The times we are living now in 2025, supersede politics and religion. It is a time for humanity to learn from all of its lessons of the past and level up. We just have to set our minds to doing better, being better and decide to accept nothing less than what we deserve as the divine beings we were created to be.

Prince said back in 1999: “There is a war going on, and the battlefield is in the mind. The prize is the soul.” And now more than ever does that quote resonate, especially when there is so much division and fear going on in the world in various sectors of society and for so many different reasons. We need to make a very conscious effort to steer away from the negativity and bad news because what we focus on expands. If we live in a continuous cycle of watching bad news, and fear, we are perpetuating the hate and negative vibes.

We are caught up in a system that has been strategically put in place to dilute our power and consciousness. The truth is we are divine, POWERFUL beings! We all have a purpose for being here on Earth. How we show up in life and how we respond to problems and challenges is what makes a difference. Are we just complaining about our problems and living in a matrix-mentality – focused only on paying bills, taxes, 9 to 5 jobs and waiting for the weekend? Only surviving and not thriving? Truth is we can take back our power at any time. We must detach ourselves from the field of fear.

There will always be obstacles and challenges. And there will always be some problems, just like there will always be darkness and evil because life is duality, but we can learn to focus more on love and peace and remember that love always trumps hate. We can choose to focus on the good in each day and on gratitude for what we do have.

Ask yourself, how are you motivating and inspiring others and yourself? How are you radiating your energy?

We don’t need to wish for things to get easier for us, we need to become more resilient and learn how to create the reality we wish to live in. What we need to do, is to be our most authentic selves and focus on conversations that are taking place in many circles of society, which is based on how we can level up and become better human beings, living in this world, one person at a time, one day at a time. Conversations of achieving higher frequencies and vibrations, awareness, collective consciousness and how to live in peace and harmony, even if we start within our own circles first. We cannot keep living the same repetitive humdrum 9 to 5 life, wake up, work, pay bills, sleep, repeat matrix-mentality mode, where nothing changes. I am not saying we cannot fulfill our Earthly obligations and maintain schedules, what I am saying is that it is time we looked within ourselves to become better and do better. Life is not going to get any easier, we have to get stronger and wiser. We cannot keep complaining, if we are unwilling to make any changes ourselves.

What I can observe from experience and from watching many personal development gurus talking about this topic, is that if we don’t change, nothing changes! I think we all know this but often choose to take the comfortable and easy route. Contentment and Complacency is easy but it’s a soul-sucker.

We just need KISS – to Keep it Simple Silly! Instead of worrying about how we are going to keep our resolutions, and overcomplicating things, why not take an easier approach to goal setting and follow the Jim Rohn method:

-Decide what you want.
-Write it down. Make a list.
-Keep the old lists.
-Check things off your list.

ONE DAY AT A TIME, without fear, judgment or expectations. Only a willingness to change and desire to achieve your goal(s) by becoming stronger, wiser, better…a better version of YOU!

My personal advice: “Protect your energy. Don’t let anyone or anything suck the life out of your soul. And never let anyone make you feel less than.” We each have something to contribute to this lifetime, whether someone has pointed it out to you not – your very existence as a soul is enough! We need to embody the magnetic, energetic beings that we truly are and spread love whenever we can!

This year and every year thereafter, remember this quote: “Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problems, wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenge, wish for more wisdom. ” -Jim Rohn
